Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various dental procedures and provide support to both the dentist and patients in a professional and efficient manner.
Responsibilities- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures- Set up and breakdown treatment rooms- Take and record vital signs of patients- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures- Maintain proper infection control protocols- Manage dental clinic inventory and supplies- Perform dental receptionist duties when needed- Assist with medical documentation, including medical coding
Qualifications- Certificate or diploma from an accredited dental assistant program- X-ray certification preferred- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures- Experience in prosthodontics is a plus- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
