Job Description

Looking for an additional Orthodontic assistant to join our team. We are growing and need to fill another position in our 2 Portland offices and possibly some days at our Vancouver clinic. We are a private practice Orthodontic team and have 2 main Portland locations with a satellite Vancouver office.
Full time position with some flexibility and will usually be at the 2 Portland clinics
Orthodontic experience is preferred but we will consider all candidates with dental assisting experience.
Our office is fun, we have great days. Our team is looking for that next member of the "family".
Must have Oregon radiation license / certificate and preferably EFDA and / or EFODA.
Responsibilities:- Assist orthodontist with patient care and treatment procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient visits- Take dental x-rays- Perform patient assessments and record medical histories- Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care instructions- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical charts- Complete lab work as needed
- Sterilization and infection control
Skills:- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Familiarity with dental anatomy and oral health conditions- Competence in using GreyFinch, Dolphin or similar dental practice management software- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Self motivated and friendly personality
