Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as the primary chair-side assistant to one of our dentists and will work closely with our other assistants to support the rest of our team. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast (but not too fast)-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists with patient care, including greeting patients and preparing treatment rooms.- Take X-rays as needed and assist with 3D scanner imaging.- Provide full spectrum dental care, including working with children, people who may be fearful of dental procedures and elderly patients who may need a bit more time.- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, adhering to proper OSHA protocols at all times.- Participate in four-handed dentistry, working closely with the dentist to ensure seamless care.- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear instructions and reassurance as needed.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.- Perform other related duties as required.
Skills:
-Minimum five years' experience in general dentistry.- Proficiency in assisting with X-rays and other dental imaging procedures.- Knowledge of OSHA protocols and the importance of maintaining a clean and sterile treatment area.- Experience with 3D scanner technology and other specialized dental equipment.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, participating in four-handed dentistry and other specialized procedures.- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with patients and families from varied backgrounds.- Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
