Job Title: Surgical Dental Assistant
Location: Village Periodontics & Dental Implant Center – Oxford, FL (Near The Villages, FL)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team and help us maintain the high standards of care for all patients.
Position Summary: The Surgical Dental Assistant will support our periodontists by assisting with various periodontal procedures, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth operation of the practice. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a periodontal office, be proficient in Eaglesoft software, and excel in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:
Assist the periodontist during surgical and non-surgical periodontal procedures.
Prepare and maintain sterile fields and instruments.
Provide detailed post-operative care instructions to patients and address their concerns.
Ensure patient comfort and support throughout their visit.
Clinical Support:
Take and develop digital radiographs and other diagnostic images.
Perform chairside duties
Follow strict infection control protocols for sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment.
Eaglesoft Management:
Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient scheduling, charting, and record-keeping.
Update patient records accurately and maintain organized documentation.
Assist with electronic and paper documentation tasks.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
Assist in coordinating patient appointments and follow-up care.
Foster a positive and cooperative work environment.
Administrative Duties:
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
Perform additional administrative tasks related to patient care and office operations.

Qualifications:

Education & Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Dental Assistant Certification is required.
Current CPR certification.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in a periodontal office is required.
Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental software is essential.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of periodontal procedures and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
