Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced dental clinic environment, utilizing their expertise in general and pediatric dentistry. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain high standards of clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and compliance with all regulatory and industry requirements.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough dental hygiene procedures, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, as prescribed by dentists.- Monitor and record patients' vital signs before and after procedures.- Review patient medical records to identify potential health risks and communicate with dentists accordingly.- Utilize computerized dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix to maintain accurate patient records and manage treatment plans.- Participate in pediatric dentistry and work closely with pediatric dentists to provide specialized care for children.- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver comprehensive care and support the overall goals of the clinic.- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and following proper sterilization procedures.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dental clinic.- Strong understanding of general and pediatric dentistry principles and practices.- Familiarity with dental clinic software systems and the ability to learn new systems quickly.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest industry best practices and technologies.
Skills:
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and maintaining accurate medical records.- Experience with dental clinic software systems, including Eaglesoft and Dentrix.- Knowledge of general and pediatric dentistry principles and practices.- Ability to work effectively with pediatric patients and their families.- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.- Familiarity with CAD technology and its applications in dentistry.
