Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history, to ensure a safe and effective dental experience.
- Utilize dental assisting skills to prepare patients for procedures, maintain a clean and organized dental clinic, and support the dental team as needed.
- Perform routine dental hygiene procedures, including scaling and polishing teeth, to promote oral health and prevent dental disease.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Stay current with the latest dental terminology and medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of pediatric dentistry and adapt to the unique needs of our young patients.
- Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and to advance our practice's mission to provide comprehensive oral care.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in dental hygiene or related field.
- Current licensure as a Dental Hygienist.
- Proficiency in dental systems and software.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology.
- Excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
