Duties:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments- Take and develop dental x-rays- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate medical documentation- Assist with filling dentist schedule- Conduct patient assessments and record vital signs- Utilize electronic health record system (Open Dental) for patient management- Operate computer-aided design (CAD) software for dental prosthetics- Maintain and update patient medical records
Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent required- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred- X-ray certification required- Previous experience working as a dental assistant preferred- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Open Dental)-CEREC experience preferred but not necessary
