Job Description
Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dental clinic and possess a strong foundation in medical imaging and medical records. This position offers the opportunity to work with a general dentistry practice and collaborate with a dedicated team to provide exceptional patient care.
Duties:
- Assist dentists and hygienists during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.- Maintain patient records, including medical histories and dental charts.- Utilize medical imaging and X-ray technology to capture images and support diagnosis.- Ensure a clean and organized environment by adhering to strict infection control protocols.- Support administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient communication.- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless transitions between procedures.- Utilize Epic systems to manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation.- Perform general administrative tasks, including medical coding and data entry.
Skills:
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment.- Strong knowledge of medical imaging and X-ray technology.- Experience with dental clinic management software, including Epic systems.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.- Commitment to infection control and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.- Knowledge of medical coding and data entry.- Familiarity with general dentistry procedures and practices.- Experience with four-handed dentistry and a willingness to learn new techniques.- Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude, even in challenging situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.71 - $19.24 per hour

Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
