**Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team in a state-of-the-art periodontal practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while supporting the dental professionals on our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting with dental procedures and have a passion for delivering excellent patient experiences. We utilize lasers for periodontal treatment. Our ideal applicant will have a thirst for growth and learning about surgical procedures including but not limited to placing implants, sinus lifts and grafting.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide support to the dentist during patient exams and treatments
- Prepare patients for procedures and maintain a clean and organized treatment area
- Assist with dental X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling
- Utilize electronic medical records systems, including Practice Web
- Ensure all procedures are completed in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with dental terminology and procedures
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless patient care
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation
- Experience with dental clinic systems; we utilize Practice Web
- Ability to assist with dental procedures, including periodontics
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences
- Strong commitment to continuing education and staying current with dental terminology and procedures.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
