Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will provide essential support to our dental team and ensure the smooth operation of the dental office. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with dental procedures, maintaining infection control protocols, managing medical records, and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments to the dentist- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions and trimming models- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental office, including sterilization of instruments and disinfection of treatment rooms- Follow proper infection control protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Experience:- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology- Familiarity with dental software systems (CAD) is a plus- Proficient in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) and medical imaging techniques- Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children (pediatrics)- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
