Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated, friendly and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality dental care and promoting good oral health practices to our patients.
Duties- Conduct initial patient screenings- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques- Take and develop dental x-rays- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations- Administer local anesthetics- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized operatory
Skills- Proficiency in dental office procedures- Knowledge of medical records management- Understanding of human anatomy relevant to dentistry- Experience in general dentistry practices- Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus- Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and aseptic technique- Competency in taking vital signs and adhering to HIPAA regulations
Qualifications- Current NYS Registered Dental Hygienist certification- Proficiency in Dentrix a plus- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and general dentistry procedures- Experience in medical records management and patient assessment- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and infection control protocols- Ability to work in a fast-paced dental office environment
**Salary commensurate with experience**
Days/Hours Needed
Mondays: 10-6
Wednesdays: 9-5
Thursdays: 9-6
*Saturdays: 8:30-1 (must be willing to work 2 Saturdays/month)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour
