Job Description

We are a small family practice in north county San Diego that is growing and in need of a quality team member! We take an incredible amount of pride to serve the community we’re located in. We are looking for great communication skills that can bring patients to ease, an outgoing personality, and can practice kindness to listen to our patients needs, and hope to find that care in a hygienist!

Currently looking for Wednesdays for the option of 1-2 more days in the future.

Patient Management:

• Review patient health and dental history
• Able to update perio chart annually
• Able to take digital radiographs with hand-held xray
• Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis for patients
• Perform scaling, root planning
• Administer local anesthetic as needed
• Document patient care and treatment plan
• Comfortable educating patients on oral hygiene techniques

Treatment Room Management and Sterilization:

• Clean treatment room in between each patient
• Maintain a supply inventory for hygiene treatment
• Assemble soiled instruments and place in sterilization area

Qualifications:

• Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of California
• Preferred (2) years experience but willing to train the right candidate
• BLS trained and certified
• Dentrix knowledge, willing to train
• Able to take xrays with digital sensor
