One of our long-term dental assistants is getting ready to retire! We will miss her a lot, but we need to find a great person to take her place on the team at our family-oriented dental practice.
We are searching for a Chairside Dental Assistant for a full time (M-Th) position in a fast-paced dental office. Strong customer service skills and knowledge with computers is required. Experience in dentistry is strongly preferred, but we will gladly train a motivated individual with a positive attitude who works well with others. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and support our dental professionals in delivering high-quality treatment. Duties:- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and handling dental instruments.- Take X-rays and assist with radiology procedures.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using Dentrix software.- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.- Participate in four-handed dentistry, working collaboratively with the dentist to deliver precise and efficient treatment.- Utilize aseptic technique to minimize the risk of infection and maintain a clean and organized work environment.- Operate Dentrix software to manage patient schedules and treatment plans.- Provide exceptional patient communication and education to promote comfort and understanding.- Support the dental team with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required.- Completion of a dental assistant program or on-the-job training is preferred.- Experience with dental assisting and orthodontic procedures is an asset.- Familiarity with Dentrix systems is an advantage.- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and aseptic technique.- Excellent communication and organizational skills.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and providing exceptional patient care.
