Opening: Dental Hygienist- Part Time to Full Time
Location:
Murfreesboro, TN
Hours: 8am-5pm Monday-Wednesday through the end of 2024 & Monday- Thursday beginning in 2025
Our dental team is searching for an experienced registered dental hygienist who is self-directed and motivated to make a difference in the lives of others. This is a private practice with a sole owner. The office is 100% fee for service. The team is family oriented and cares about each other and our patients. You will find that our office provides a pleasant environment for one who desires to serve our Murfreesboro community’s finest patients with exceptional dental care and education. The Hygienist’s major responsibilities are to assist the Doctor in clinical treatment of the patients. This position includes working directly with the Doctor and providing a liaison between patient and Doctor. The Hygienist is also responsible for accurate entry of information on the patient’s clinical records. Under supervision the Hygienist may perform certain legally allowed expanded functions of the position.
Requirements:

Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist.
Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a dental practice or clinic.
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals.
Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Proficiency in using dental software for patient charting and scheduling.
Willingness to adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols.

Job Responsibilities:
· Seat the patient and have the proper set-up ready for the procedure.
· Review and update the patient’s medical history, motivators, and concerns.
· Take necessary radiographs.
· Check the patient’s periodontal condition and record on the patients chart.
· Perform routine oral exam and record findings on the patient’s chart.
· Educate the patient as to the quality of his/her dental health during treatment.
· Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants as needed.
· Support the Doctor’s treatment recommendations and help the patient to accept the care needed.
· Make sure the patient’s record is complete and all services for the day’s treatment are recorded.
· Clean and sterilize instruments. Maintain appearance of the hygiene treatment room.
· Monitor and notify supervisor when supplies for hygiene treatment are needed.
· Assist with continuing care system as time permits and help to fill cancellations.
· Assist the front desk whenever possible.
· Assist the Doctor and assistants whenever possible.
· Market the practice internally and externally.
· Other duties assigned by the office manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $37.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
