Job Description
Responsibilities:- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking dental x-rays, and applying fluoride treatments- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care- Conduct thorough dental assessments and charting of oral conditions- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials- Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental Software- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements:- Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of Pennsylvania. One year experience required.- Knowledge of medical coding systems related to dental procedures- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records- Strong understanding of oral health principles and practices- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
