Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant / Front Desk to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. Duties:- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing support to the patient- Take and develop dental x-rays using digital imaging systems- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during examinations, cleanings, and other dental procedures- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records verify insurance.
Skills:- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and operating digital imaging systems- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology- Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems for dental restorations is a plus- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately maintain patient records- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques used in dentistry- Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
