Elmhurst Dental Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Part-Time Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced practice! As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our Orthodontist and other team members to provide exceptional dental care to our patients.
We are looking for a friendly, personable, and professional person who has great attention to detail and the ability to follow directions. Requirements include: taking quality orthodontic facial photos, panoramic and cephalometric x-rays Taking, pouring, and trimming models. Prepare materials and equipment for the orthodontist, fabricate retainers, and changing arch-wires. Must be comfortable explaining orthodontic treatment including oral hygiene instructions with patients.

Every Other Tuesday 11:30 AM - 6:30 PM

Requirements:

X-Ray Proficiency
Ability to take quality orthodontic facial photos, panoramic and cephalometric X-Rays
Coronal Polish/Sealant Certification preferred but not required
Taking, pouring, and trimming models
Prepare materials and equipment for the orthodontist, fabricate retainers, and changing arch-wires.
Must be comfortable explaining orthodontic treatment including oral hygiene instructions with patients.
High school graduate or equivalent
Chairside dental assisting with a wide range of general dentistry procedures
Sterilization protocols to OSHA regulations
CPR certification
Computer efficiency- charting and scheduling
Excellent communication skills
Ability to build lasting relationships with teammates and patients
Integrity-focused work ethic
Team-player attitude
Ability to multi-task
Open-minded to new systems/techniques, direction and feedback
