Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists with patient care, including vital signs and medical imaging procedures- Utilize dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to accurately prepare patients for treatment- Support the dental team with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and processing medical coding- Maintain a clean and organized dental environment, adhering to high standards of hygiene and infection control- Participate in endodontic procedures, including root canal treatments- Operate dental equipment and assist with dental procedures- Collaborate with other dental professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care- Utilize electronic health records (Epic) to manage patient information and billing- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required- Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience- Current certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or willingness to obtain certification- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology- Experience with medical imaging and vital signs- Proficiency with dental assisting software and electronic health records (Epic)- Familiarity with dental coding and billing procedures- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
