Job Description

Oakwood Dental is a well-established and patient-centric dental clinic committed to providing exceptional oral healthcare. We pride ourselves on delivering a positive patient experience through a combination of expertise, compassion, and cutting-edge technology. As we continue to grow, we are seeking multiple dedicated General Dentists to join our dynamic team in Staten Island and New Jersey. We are conveniently located, with multiple locations, which will offer the opportunity for a smooth commute. We are also open to considering graduate dentists for this position.
General Dentist
We are looking for a General Dentist with a minimum of 1 years experience to contribute to the success and growth of our practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality dental care, building patient relationships, and collaborating with our team of professionals.
Salary:
Pay: $150,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical
1. Examine and diagnose patients' teeth and surrounding oral structures, employing X-rays, mouth mirrors, exploratory tools, and diagnostic procedures. Record findings, formulate and execute the most suitable treatment plan, including cosmetic dentistry procedures.
2. Offers guidance on preventive dentistry, assesses nutritional status, evaluates oral hygiene practices, and provides expertise in cosmetic dentistry to enhance patients' smiles and self-confidence.
3. Identifies and addresses cavities in teeth, while also offering cosmetic solutions for aesthetic enhancements.
4. Performs extractions of impacted, infected, or problematic teeth, as well as root canal procedures, with a focus on preserving the appearance and functionality of the patient's smile.
5. Provides dental health advice to patients and collaborates with dental hygienists, dental assistants, or dental laboratory technicians as needed to complete procedures, including cosmetic dental treatments.
6. Collaborates with heads of other patient care services to plan comprehensive dental treatment, ensuring seamless coordination of patient care, including cosmetic dentistry services to achieve patients' desired outcomes.
Learning and Documentation

Stay updated on patient care, new technology and new products that can improve patient conditions and overall health.
Keep comprehensive and accurate records of patient visits, diagnosis and treatment.
Keep certifications, registrations and CPD in accordance with national laws and regulations.
Increase client base by building relationships with existing and new patients. We welcome all suggestions and ideas to help the growth of our practices.

Qualifications:
-DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a Bachelor’s degree are required
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a General Dentist
- State licensure and relevant certifications
- Proficient in performing routine and complex dental procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient satisfaction and quality care
-Up-to-date knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is desired
-Unrestricted and current state license in good standing
