Job Description
Overview: Family Centers is skilled and compassionate General Dentist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will provide a full range of dental services to patients of all ages, ensuring the highest level of care and comfort. You will work closely with our team of dental professionals to diagnose, treat, and educate patients on maintaining excellent oral health.
The Health Center, a FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) provides primary healthcare, dental and mental health services to those living in Greenwich Public Housing communities and the surrounding neighborhoods.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive dental exams and diagnose oral health issues.
Provide a wide range of general dental procedures, including but not limited to fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, extractions, and root canals.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventative care, and overall health practices.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques.
Qualifications:
DMD or DDS degree from an accredited dental school.
Valid state of Connecticut dental license.
Interest in providing care to diverse patient population.
Commitment to dental care in a community health setting.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a general dentist.
Proficiency in a wide range of dental procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to patient care and ethical practice.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience with dental software and digital charting preferred.
Professional communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Bilingual ability preferred.
