Job Description

We are looking for a competent, part time dental hygienist, who will continue to make this dental office a pleasant experience for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and instruction to patients about oral care. Applicants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.
We are open Tuesday-Friday and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Our ideal candidate is available Thursday 10-6, Friday 8-2, and the Saturdays 8-2 (which are our most requested day). We do have some flexibility in the schedule for the right candidate.
We are a drama free, low pressure office that focuses on quality of care.For prophy's you'll get:30 minutes for children.1 hour for adults.1.5 hours for new patients.
Responsibilities

Welcome customers in the dental office (this is a team environment)
Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
Take panoramic and intra-oral x-rays
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Undertake other tasks as needed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Schedule appointments and assist front desk
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Skills

Experience as dental hygienist is a plus, but we will work with the right recent graduate.
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Good computer skills: Experience with Easydental and Dentemax Imaging is a plus. We will train the right candidate
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized, punctual, and reliable, with a positive working attitude.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $31.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
