Job Description
Well-Established Dental office looking for an experienced, professional, and self-motivated, Dental Assistant.
We are a fee-for-service, high-tech, private practice which is very focused on delivering the highest quality dental care and outstanding customer service.
Ideal candidate:
has excellent chairside assisting skills (for crowns, fillings, etc.)
has excellent customer service, verbal communication (English), and interpersonal skills.
is comfortable using computers.
is comfortable using iTero.
has a willingness to constantly improve, since dentistry is an always-evolving field
Candidate is also able to work toward the long-term goals of the practice, as outlined by the doctor.
Position is FULL-TIME (4 - 5 days per week)

We are looking for a proficient chairside dental assistant who will help make our office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You will help the doctor to deliver excellent clinical care and an outstanding patient experience.Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office rules and protocols. We want you to be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.
Responsibilities
Welcome patients to the dental office
Prepare patients for dental treatments or check-ups, and ensure their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and dental materials
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and occasionally assist with payment procedures
Skills
Proven experience as dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
Exceptional computer/typing skills
Excellent communication and people skills
iTero Scanning
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
Additional certification or training is preferred (e.g. EFDA)
