Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a experienced Dental Assistant to join our busy office. The ideal candidate will assist in oral surgery procedures and has a compassionate demeanor. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient dental procedures and excellent patient care. Hours are Monday 8-4 pm Tues-Thursday 7:30-5pm with a occasional Friday. Benefit package available after 1 year of employment. Holiday pay is immediate.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and materials- Take and develop dental x-rays- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices- Maintain accurate patient records- Schedule patient appointments- Perform lab tasks such as pouring and trimming models- Provide support in front office duties as needed
Requirements:
- Knowledge of infection control protocols- Familiarity with medical terminology- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations- Certification in dental assisting preferred- Ability to maintain detailed medical documentation
