Responsibilities include: - primary chairside dental assistant and must be able to help out front desk as needed as we are looking for a TEAM PLAYER dental assistant who will make the dental office more efficient and pleasant for patients.

Dental assistants should be well-organized with attention to detail, following instruction and asking good questions is a must.
We want you to be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care, anticipate next step, take initiative and be able to make dental procedures as smooth as possible.
Welcome dental patients into our dental office
Prepare patients for treatment visit with dentist
Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed, pour up models, prepare lab Rx
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room immaculately clean and well-stocked
Educate patients with their current and next treatment planned.
Maintain accurate patient records in the software and assist with needs of dental insurance through quality x-rays and treatment write-ups
Aid in periodontal charting
Keeping everyone on schedule
* * Proven experience as dental assistant a big plus including knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods as well as understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like taking x-rays with your verified NJ Dental Radiology license.
Computer skills with excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail, Well-organized and reliable
High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred with XR license
Additional certification or training is an plus (e.g. EFDA) Job Type:
Full-time pay with NJ Radiology license $19.00 - $23.00 and up per hour with Benefits: * 401(k) * Employee discount * Paid time off AFTER probation / trial period
Part time pay depends on qualifications and experience
COVID-19 considerations: We have Dental suction units (stand alone) for clean air, we use N95's with level 3's over that as well as face shields and gowns.. We still have patients pre-rinse before procedures. We have plexiglass at the front desk. Application Question(s):
