Job Description
Job purpose
The role will report to the Dental Director. As a General Dentist, the person will be responsible for providing consultation, treatment, and diagnosis of patients in need of dental care.
Duties and responsibilities
Provide accurate exams and patient friendly treatment planning based on assessed risk factors.
Provide quality dental treatment and care.
Compassionately communicate treatment plans and instructions.
Assist the practice towards excellence in oral health care.
Promote the practice of Dentistry.
Direct staff in carrying out, or referring individuals for specialty consultation or treatment.
Accurately document and maintain dental and referral records.
Provide general oral health education and prevention.
Maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local ordinances. Including, organizational policies and procedures; regulations and protocols governing the practice of dentistry and the clinical provision of dental care.
Knowledgeable of Infection & Exposure control and sterile techniques for a dental practice.
Supervise and comply with Dental Health Department compliance measures, relative to Infection & Exposure Control and safety, as mandated by federal, state and local law, Dental Department protocols, and clinic policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team that includes medical, behavioral health and dental providers, case managers, administrators and support staff.
Develop and meet annual work plan goals and objectives.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of primary dental care, in an out-patient clinic setting.
Must be able to treat patients from multi-ethnic and multi-cultural backgrounds and work collaboratively with a broad range of health care professions and disciplines in advancing the well-being of the clinicââ¬â¢s patients.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bilingual: English and Chinese
Candidates must have current California Dental Board License
CPR, DEA, NPI, and Mal-Practice Insurance
At least 1 year Dentistry Experience
