SeniorDent On-Site Health Care is dedicated to delivering exceptional dental and oral health services to residents in Senior and Long Term Care Facilities. As a Dental Hygienist with our growing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the oral health and well-being of our residents.
Overview:As a Dental Hygienist at SeniorDent, you will work closely with our geriatric population to provide top-notch care to individuals residing in nursing homes or long-term care facilities in the El Paso, TX area. We are seeking a traveling Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team! Your expertise and compassion will contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities:- Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient
-Perform professional dental cleanings, take and develop x-rays and review them as required.
-Remove plaque and calculus by scaling and polishing teeth
-Apply fluorides to help prevent tooth decay
-Use a range of different dental instruments and ensure that all instruments are sterilized and clean at the end of each session
-Follow Health and Safety guidelines in all aspects
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.- Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings- Must have ability to work independently and must possess a valid driver's license
Requirements:
-Must be willing to travel the El Paso Area
-Part time with 3 days a week, with potential to go Full time if willing to travel- Minimum 21 years old- Must have current/valid license as a Dental Hygienist in the state of Texas- 3 years experience is required- CPR certification or obtain CPR certification within 90 days of employment- Knowledge of standard dental safety procedures- Ability to maintain medical records accurately.- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
-Good organizational skills with an eye to detail
-Must be willing to travel 3 days a week and be able to lift up to 40 pounds of equipment
-Must have basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs as well as excellent clerical skills
