Job Description
Universal Primary Care is seeking a full-time Dentist to provide quality dental care to patients in accordance with the principles of ethics and code of professional conduct of the ADA and NYS Dental Association. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and modifying appropriate and effective patient care plans including diagnostic procedures, therapies, consultations, and outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities:
Provide general dentistry, diagnostic, preventive, and restorative services to patients.
Refer patients to appropriate care providers for evaluation or assistance as needed.
Maintain patient care documentation including medications, allergies, subjective and objective data, assessment, diagnostic procedures, interpretation of lab, x-rays, and treatment plans.
Monitor dental standards of care through Quality Assurance and Peer Review Audits.
Provide patient education including diagnosis, treatment plans, and prognosis.
Respond to patient calls promptly and communicate well with both patients and staff in a respectful, friendly manner.
Attend staff meetings as required and perform other relevant duties.
Qualifications:
Dental Medicine degree from an accredited University.
Dental License Registration and DEA Certificate for the state of Pennsylvania.
Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
Memberships to Dental Associations are preferred qualifications.

Universal Primary Care (UPC), located in Western New York, is currently seeking a general dentist to work in our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Weââ¬â¢re looking for someone motivated to help serve a rural population as well as an interest in growing and developing UPCââ¬â¢s dental program. The dentist would provide quality oral healthcare services as defined by NYS Practice Act, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Commissioner of Education and according to Program policies and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Have thorough knowledge of the specific dental needs of children, adults, and geriatric patients with complicated medical histories, and will demonstrate knowledge in advanced diagnostic and surgical procedures, along with child psychology and clinical management, oral pathology, pharmacology, radiology, child development, management of oral/facial trauma, and care for patients with special needs.
Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases, abnormalities, injuries, and dysfunctional disorders of the oral cavity and its associated structures.
Examines patients and interprets radiographs and diagnostic tests.
Evaluates findings and prescribes type, extent, and order of treatment required.
Restores health and function of carious, fractured, or otherwise defective teeth.
Provides consultation services.
Monitors quality of patient care, infection control and safety procedures.
Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Provides clinical supervision for RDH and Dental Assistant.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
A Competitive compensation package includes a sign-on bonus, PTO, CME stipend, FTCA malpractice coverage, relocation reimbursement, and the payment of licenses and fees. There is no restrictive covenant associated with employment.
