Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This is a paid position with opportunities for career growth and development.
Responsibilities:- Assist dentists during dental procedures, including general dentistry and orthodontics- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment- Take dental x-rays- Provide chairside assistance to dentist during procedures- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate records- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
Skills:- Proficiency in using dental software systems for patient record management- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards- Understanding of medical coding for accurate billing and insurance claims- Experience in assisting with various dental procedures, including restorative work and root canals- Proficiency in taking dental radiographs and interpreting the images- Ability to perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical history
Requirements:- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience- Current certification in Dental Assisting (CDA) preferred but not required- CPR certification required- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and perform at a high level in a busy setting.

Pay: $20.35 - $26.17 per hour
Expected hours: 30 ââ¬â 40 per week
