Job Description

Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Prepare patients for appropriate dental treatment
Take appropriate and accurate radiographs
Manage medical records and patient information
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
Performs various office tasks as needed
Provides active chairside assistance; anticipates the dentist’s needs
Performs coronal polishing and topical medications as required
Take impressions for study casts and custom trays as needed
Must be comfortable speaking with patients about treatment plans and financial cost

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques
Strong understanding of dental terminology
Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus
Clean soiled instruments placed in sterilization area and sort / package instruments by kit(tray) for proper sterilization
Strong attention to detail while cleaning operatory surfaces with disinfectant solution according to OSHA regulations
Accurately records vitals, medications, medical and dental histories for each patient
Ability to multitask (help in other areas of the office when necessary)
Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced enviroment as needed

Pay is dependent on experience. We are willing to train a motivated canadidte with a dental backgraound. Hours are Wednesday and Thursday 7:45-5:00 pm and Friday 7:45-3:00 pm.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
