Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic and patient-focused dental team. The ideal candidate will be able to provide top-notch support to our dentists and hygienists in delivering exceptional care to our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and a passion for maintaining a clean and efficient dental environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care and treatment procedures, ensuring that all necessary materials are prepared and readily available.- Maintain a clean and organized dental environment, adhering to strict aseptic and infection control protocols at all times.- Operate dental equipment, including 3D scanners, and take X-rays as necessary.- Use Eaglesoft and Epic systems to efficiently manage patient records and treatment plans.- Participate in four-handed dentistry, working closely with the dentist and hygienist to ensure smooth and effective procedures.- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of medical terminology and provide clear and concise communication to patients and colleagues.- Perform other duties as required, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining the practice's appearance.
Requirements:- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.- A certificate or diploma in dental assisting is preferred.- Must have experience in dental assisting and be familiar with dental assisting practices.- Proficiency in Eaglesoft and Epic systems is essential.- Must be able to operate dental equipment and take X-rays.- Knowledge of infection control and aseptic technique is necessary.- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude is required.- A commitment to continuing education and staying current with the latest dental assisting techniques and technologies is highly valued.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
