Job Description
Our Family, Cosmetic and Dental Sleep practice is seeking a motivated, professional and patient focused Dental Assistant to add to our Team!
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care and be committed to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Has an understanding and knowledge of standard dental practices, and the ability to transition from clinical to front office to assist with expanded duties when needed . Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team and engage with patients in a professional and friendly manner.
Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
Assist dentist and hygienists with patient care, including obtaining and recording vital signs, dental/medical documentation along with dental charting and coding as needed.
Demonstrates a clear understanding of dental anatomy and dental terminology.
Assist with and maintain sterilization by organizing dental instruments for operatories, adhering to strict infection control protocols. Set up treatment rooms, instrument trays and materials.
Provide patients with post op care instruction.
Capturing X-Ray images (certification required)
Experience with Eagle Soft and EMR software a plus
Lab duties - Preparing lab cases to be sent out and and monitoring arrival of cases.
Order dental supplies and maintain inventory.
Expanded front desk duties when needed
Office hours:
Monday 8am-5pm
Tuesday 8am-5pm
Wednesday 7am-4pm (summer hours May-Aug - then 8am to 5pm)
Thursday 7am-2pm
Office is closed on Fridays
Compensation is based on experience.
Benefits are based on full time employment.
