Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and caring Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team at KDC Orthodontics! As a KDC Orthodontic Assistant, you will provide top-notch orthodontic care that makes our patients feel like family. You will provide assistance to the orthodontist during exams, procedures and complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year previous experience as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant. Responsibilities


Welcome patients into the orthodontic treatment area and make them feel comfortable
Discuss the orthodontic care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
Fit bands and prep teeth for braces and/or orthodontic appliances
Bond attachments for Invisalign cases
Take orthodontic records including pan, ceph, digital photos and digital impressions using an iTero
Provide assistance to the orthodontist while performing procedures including ensuring necessary instruments
Disinfect treatment rooms and sterilize orthodontic instruments using cold sterile and/or an autoclave
Enter proper orthodontic treatment notes and schedule appointments using Orthos2 Edge software
Adhere to all OSHA and HIPPA regulations
Qualifications


Preferred 1 year experience in orthodontic assisting.
Must be DANB X-ray and ICE certified.
Previous experience working with Invisalign and/or clear aligner systems.
Comfortable with digital impressions using an iTero.
Must be familiar with treatment plans involving traditional braces.
