Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. If you have a passion for dentistry and enjoy working in a nicely paced, team-oriented environment, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
Take and develop dental x-rays
Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models
Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant certification
Knowledge of dental anatomy, infection control, and medical terminology
Proficiency in using dental software systems (Eaglesoft)
Familiarity with aseptic technique and HIPAA regulations
Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients
Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to perform patient assessments and take vital signs
