Job Description
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures- Take dental x-rays- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow- Handle administrative tasks, such as billing and insurance claims processing
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred, but not required- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus- Familiarity with patient assessment tools, such as CAD or Epic, is beneficial- Understanding of medical coding and documentation practices is a plus- Proficiency in managing medical records is preferred
