Job Description
We are searching for a great personality and attitude with outstanding work ethic to help out our team in Princeton, TX. We are a growing pediatric dental office and looking to add to our team. The ideal candidate is someone that enjoys being in a team-oriented environment, sincerely loves working with kids, friendly and respectful toward everyone. This position is part-time (2-3 days a week). May need to travel occasionally. Details can be worked out before hire.
At least 1 year dental assisting experience recommended. Experience with orthodontic assisting is a huge plus. Pay will be based on experience and skill level.RDA and CPR certification is required.
Our office hours are Monday through Thursday 8am-4pm currently. Please include resume and references if possible.
Duties- Assist the dentist during dental procedures including oral and IV sedation.- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures- Take and develop dental x-rays- Perform dental charting and documentation using electronic health record systems using Dentrix- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment- Assist with infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns. Orthodontic assisting experience and/or willing to learn orthodontic assisting is a requirement. - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Experience- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred.- Knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and procedures- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including four-handed dentistry- Familiarity with infection control protocols and OSHA regulations- Experience taking dental x-rays and using digital radiography systems- Ability to use electronic health record systems for medical documentation
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
