Job Description

Responsibilities:- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office's appointment system- Assist with medical documentation, including updating patient records (Dentrix)- Prepare patients for dental procedures by taking vital signs and documenting medical history- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing instruments, suctioning, and passing materials- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure proper image quality- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment- Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions
Requirements:- Previous experience as a dental assistant or dental receptionist preferred- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology- Proficiency in using medical imaging systems, such as X-ray machines (Dexis)- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members
