Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team., however we are willing to train the right person. The ideal candidate will assist our dental professionals in providing quality care to our patients. This is a part-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar software
- Perform lab tasks such as pouring and trimming models
- Provide support in various dental procedures including endodontics and prosthodontics
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations
Requirements, or upon training:
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and systems
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software preferred
- Familiarity with prosthodontics and endodontics procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Skills:
- Medical imaging knowledge
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
