**Job Description:**
As a Dental Assistant at Lebowitz Dental Associates, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the dentist during dental procedures
- Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment
- taking digital x-rays, CT images and intraoral digital images
- Digital Scanning using Itero scanner
- Maintaining patient records and entering clinical SOAP notes
- Placing retraction cords
- Taking alginate impressions and pouring stone models
- Loading milling machine (specific training will be provided)
- Providing patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene advice
- Ensuring a clean and organized work environment
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Assisting with front desk duties as needed
**Qualifications:**
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience of a minimum of 5 years as a dental assistant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency in dental software. Carestack software is being used. Training will be provided
- CPR certification is a plus
- Must be a dog lover, as emotional support dogs are part of our team
- Highly empathetic with a strong ability to connect with patients on a personal level is most important.
