Dental Receptionist / Front Desk needed in San Ramon

We are a fun, energetic, team-oriented boutique (1 doctor) dental practice in San Ramon seeking a positive, driven, patient-focused Front Office/Financial Coordinator. You will be the face and voice of our practice, the first person a patient speaks with and sees so you are vital to ensuring each patient has an exceptional experience in our office.

Qualities we are seeking:
· Exhibit phenomenal communication skills (both verbal and written)

· Have working knowledge of a dental office and front office functions
· Have a business mindset and understand office financials, scheduling to goal and the impact on the bottom line
· Very comfortable with technology (YAPI, Weave, Dentrix, online/mobile payments)
· Are highly proficient in dental insurance billing and claims (we currently have 3 plans but are working towards being fully fee for service)
· Are comfortable and confident in collecting from patients, especially for high value cosmetic treatments
· Have the ability to multi-task
· Are detail-oriented
· Are punctual and reliable
· Are eager to learn and grow
· Are willing to work as a team, help your teammates when needed

Your responsibilities include:
· Independently manage all front office responsibilities (you are the only front office staff)
· Answer multi-line phones
· Greet patients and develop rapport and relationships, treating each patient like family
· Schedule to goal using block booking techniques (training provided) for 1 doctor and 2 hygienists, maximizing efficiency/flow as well as meeting practice goals
· Create and present treatment plans, exhibiting at least a 90% close rate
· Conduct new patient interviews, building value and gaining trust
· Collect insurance co-payments and pre-payment for treatment
· Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
· Follow up on direct patient billing and collections (ensure accounts receivables are current)
· Follow up on insurance billing and claims (ensure accounts receivables are current)
· Use technology for patient communication (text, email, online forms and payments)
· Generate and reconcile end of day reports, including day sheets and deposit slips

Minimum Requirements:
· 2 years previous dental front office experience
· Tech savvy and comfortable with the variety of software and tools we use (Dentrix, YAPI, Weave, etc)
· Must have basic math skills and understand practice financials (posting correctly to ledger, practice receivables, meeting production and collection goals, etc.)
