Job Description

We are a private dental practice looking for a stellar Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team of dental professionals. Looking for a team player who puts patient care and a positive work environment as a priority. Candidate must be professional and well spoken. The position is for 32-34 hours a week (Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00).The person we are looking for MUST have the following skills/attributes:
- Positive attitude and good work ethic **NO EXCEPTIONS**- Dental Software experience (Dentrix preferred)- Dental Assisting experience at least 1 year (excluding school internships)- Professional appearance & well spoken- Complex understanding of dental procedures
Ideal candidate has at least 1 year chair side assisting experience, a willingness to learn & grow in your position, a passion for dentistry that hasn’t burned out, and confidence in their dental assisting skills. Must have expanded functions and X-ray certification.
Our clinical staff should be comfortable assisting with oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, facial aesthetics, and other specialty procedures, as we offer most dental services in house. Along with basic chair side assisting duties, assistants are expected to make temporaries, take impressions, enter and present treatment plans, and basic appointment scheduling.
This is NOT a high stress office. We are down to earth, professional, and have a sense of humor. We are able to maintain sanity because we all work hard and enjoy what we do. We'd love to find someone who'd be a great fit. We are not just looking for any assistant. We are willing to take our time and try to find the right person.
Due to being a small office with only 2 assistants, it is important that candidate has strong work ethic and comes to work every day. If you are typically someone who misses work once or twice a month this office is not a good fit.
This position offers full coverage group health insurance after 60 days, paid holidays after 90 days, and paid vacation time after 1 year.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
