Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures- Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies- Maintain accurate patient records
Qualifications:
- Anatomy knowledge- Pediatrics experience- Understanding of HIPAA regulations- Familiarity with medical records management- Knowledge of medical terminology- Ability to assist with medical imaging procedures- Experience with Epic software is a plus- Proficiency in taking vital signs- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial- Certification or degree in Dental Assisting

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Weekends as needed

Experience:

Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

X-Ray Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:
