TOOLS/EQUIPMENT: Dental hygiene tools, Eagle soft and HMS computer software JOB DESCRIPTION: ** Using dental instruments and hygiene equipment, performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning. ** Instruct patients in preventive dental techniques. ** Assisting a high number of patients as required. ** Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers. SKILLS/EDUCATION NEEDED: **Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license ** Must have a current/active CPR certificate ** Knowledge of dental terminology ** Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices ** Skills using dental instruments and equipment and performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning. ** Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques. ** Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residents of Marion County ** Bilingual (English/Spanish) – highly preferred ** Pediatric Experience – highly preferred
