As an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, you will play a large role in the provision of effective and trustworthy dental services. You will sustain patient comfort, soothe upset patients, listen to their needs and educate them on dental procedures. You will also manage clinical supplies, work efficiently to maintain the supported dentist’s schedule and adhere to all OSHA and office safety policies.

Additional responsibilities of the Expanded Duties Dental Assistant include:

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures
Prepare patients for dental work and ensure their comfort
Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
Take and develop digital X-rays
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical documentation systems
Educate patients on proper oral healthcare
Provide support to various dental specialties including General Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, Endodontics, Oral surgery, Implants, Prosthodontics and Cosmetic dentistry.
Improving your clinical skills through participation in continuing education and training opportunities offered by PureSmile HüB.

Requirements:
Job Requirement - Expanded Duties Dental Assistant – EDDA – Dental Assistant:
As an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant at PureSmile HüB, you must have a positive and outgoing personality, exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, excellent patient care skills and strong organizational skills.
Additional requirements for the Expanded Duties Dental Assistant at PureSmile HüB include:

Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
Ability to build rapport with patients
Good manual dexterity
Computer proficiency.
Knowledge of some dental software for charting, and or the ability to learn new dental software. Open Dental software training will be provided
Ability to travel for training, occasionally overnight
Dental assisting school certificate is a plus
Previous work experience, 3 + years in a dental practice as EDDA is a plus.
Proficiency with 3D scanner technology for dental impressions
Knowledge of various dental specialties including Endodontics, General Dentistry, and Prosthodontics
Competence in using digital X-Ray equipment and processing X-Ray images
Strong dental assisting skills with the ability to anticipate the needs of the dentist is a plus
Familiarity with dental documentation systems for maintaining patient records.
