Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our periodontal practice. The ideal candidate will assist our dental team in providing high-quality oral healthcare to our patients.
The hours are: Mondays and Tuesdays, 7:45 AM to 5:15 PM and one or two Fridays per month (which could be a full day or half day).
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including surgeries, extractions and implants.- Set up and prepare equipment and instruments- Take and develop dental X-rays- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures- Conduct various laboratory tasks including making impressions of patients' teeth
-Help out at the front desk when the phone is extra busy or when needed.
Experience:- Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental coding- Proficiency in taking vital signs and medical documentation- Familiarity with medical records management- Ability to maintain infection control protocols
Skills:- Dental assisting skills- Proficiency in medical documentation and coding- Understanding of dental terminology- Experience with taking vital signs- X-Ray imaging proficiency- Infection control practices
