Job Description

Looking for a people-oriented, hardworking individual to join our staff as a dental assistant for up to 30-35 hours per week in an award-winning and well-established dental practice. Join an amazing staff of seven dedicated individuals most of whom have been with our practice for over 10 years. We are a non-corporate, old school management office that cares about our employees as much as our patients. The only true requirements are demonstrating high moral character and a strong work ethic within a team-based and fast-paced environment. Willing to train the right person regardless of background and existing certifications.
Responsibilities
· Preparing treatment rooms
· Seating patients
· Screening patient medical histories
· Chairside assisting
· Radiology and imaging
· Sterilization of instruments
· Taking impressions and pouring models
Requirements
Per the Massachusetts Board of Dentistry guidelines, the following requirements must be completed within 6 months of hiring date (if not already a registered dental assistant):
· Registered as a dental assistant with the Massachusetts Board of Dentistry
· Certified in CPR/AED
· Completed course in CDC guidelines
· Certified in x-ray / radiology
Skills
· Attention to detail
· Well-organized and reliable
· Outstanding communication skills
· A strong work ethic with a commitment to providing the utmost level of patient care
· Understanding of health and safety regulations
