Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive dental hygiene care to our patients, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and patient education on oral health.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct oral examinations and assess patient oral health.
- Perform prophylactic and periodontal treatments such as scaling, polishing, and root planning.
- Conduct oral cancer screening
- Take digital dental x-rays.
- Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop and implement individualized dental care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment plans and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and protocols.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Current Connecticut state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist (1-2 years preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of dental software and patient management systems (e.g., Eaglesoft) is a plus.
