Job Description

Dentologie is actively seeking a full-time (or part-time) Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team in Chicago, IL (June or July start date). Wonderful opportunity for those starting their hygiene career as well as those experienced hygienists seeking a caring and engaging environment.
You will be directly responsible for the patient's hygienist experience. You will also be expected to promote the employee culture at Dentologie not only within the hygiene team, but also with the rest of Dentologie by leading with a positive and professional demeanor.
A full-time Dental Hygienist role includes excellent compensation ($48-53 hourly, depending on experience), a comprehensive benefits package, flexible hours and the ability to be a part of an outstanding culture! We are also offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus*!

Dentologie is comprised of 10 office locations in the Chicagoland area, including: Lincoln Park, South Loop, Streeterville, Bucktown, West Loop, Clark & Diversey, Gold Coast, River North, Southport, and Oak Park/River Forest.
Responsibilities:

Helps to provide direct patient care in all dental periodontal services in which you are licensed to perform.
Assist dentist chairside during examinations.
Provide a 10-star Patient experience.
Contribute positively to an engaging corporate culture.
Prepares instruments and materials for procedures for your patients.
Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair while preparing them for treatment.
Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education including at home care.
Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.
Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations, periodontal charting as well as planned treatment.
Monitor daily supplies for restocking.
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following periodontal procedures as well as other dental treatment procedures completed by dentists.
Follows infection control protocol by preparing and sterilizing instruments, equipment, and operatories.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to regularly travel to at least 2 Dentologie office locations.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication & customer service skills.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, supervisors & leadership skills.
Prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Registered Dental Hygiene degree from an accredited program.
Active Registered Dental Hygiene license within the state of Illinois.
