Job Description
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist with patient care, perform various dental procedures, and ensure excellent patient service. Ideally this would be a full time position but part time can be considered.
We are willing to train the right person, but prior experience is a plus.
**Duties:**
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Set up and prepare equipment and instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
-managing inventory and ordering supplies
- Perform various office tasks as needed
**Experience:**
-prior experience with digital scanners
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
-CPR certified
-valid maine radiography license
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques
- Understanding of infection control procedures
- Proficiency in dentrix or similar dental software systems
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques in a dental setting
- Experience in medical documentation
