Job Description

The purpose of the Lead Dental Assistant is to assist our Dentists with patients chairside and to help the office manager monitor the workflow of the dental assistants, order supplies, and help maintain equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under supervision of the manager help monitor the day to day work flow of the dental assistants to ensure excellent patient care and office productivity/efficiency during the workday.
Coordinate with the Purchasing Manager to place clinical supply orders and monitor usage of dental inventory.
Work with the office manager to update the master maintenance list periodically.
With under supervision of the manager to train new dental assistants on office protocol, dentists preferences, usage of handpieces, instruments and other small and large equipment used by assistants on a daily basis.
Verify all the lab cases are accurate and go out on time to the lab to ensure turnaround time is adequate for the patients next scheduled appointment.
Follow up with the front desk on any special requirements for the patients care.
Maintain all update documentation on clinic information in the dental practice management platform.
Coordinate with HR to keep current on infection control procedures, OSHA and MIOSHA guidelines and dental materials.
Work with management to delegate the daily workloads and tasks fairly among dental assistants.
Maintain smooth work flow between dentists, assistants, and patients.
Report any incidents, clinic concerns, or changes to the dental manager or director.
In addition to these job functions, Lead Dental Assistant will also perform regular dental assisting job functions and duties as outlines in the Dental Assistant job description.
Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements
Experience ââ¬â 5 or more years of full-time work experience in dental assisting with proven track record of leadership and dependability.
Must be available to work Full-time on any days that the office is open including occasional weekends.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 ââ¬â 44 per week
