We are looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team to work 4 days per week, full time, 9.5 hour days.
The position will start immediately.
As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the dentist during patient procedures and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dental office.
Duties:- Prepare patients for dental procedures by taking medical documentation.- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials- Take patient x-rays and maintain accurate medical records using Eaglesoft and Dexis.- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed- Provide patient assessment and triage as needed- Comfort with both adults and children.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of or ability to learn medical coding and billing practices- Ability to learn to take accurate x-rays and maintain medical records using Epic software- Excellent communication skills with both patients and staff members- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized work environment
